Photo report of a visit around Loutro and Sfakia

October 2007, by Hannes

Here you will find 4 series of snapshots taken by my wife, my daughters and me last October 2007. They are just snapshots, bringing back some memories, but I know, some addicts would appreciate a little fix of Sfakia - regardless of the quality of the stuff.

  • ♦ First theme is: "Last Ferry to Loutro" (we were just arriving in time for the last 19 h Ferry, the day after we came, then timetable switched, so that the last ferry went at 17 h).
  • ♦ Second are 5 Anopolis pics, taken from Ag. Ekaterini.
  • ♦ Next series is about "Sunrise, Moonrise and Sunset".
  • ♦ Last: day is over, sun is down, everybody is preparing for one of the last evenings in the restaurant, and then the ferry arrives, bringing building materials for the winter, ship lights brighten the beach, big lorries driving directly on the beach - unloading, greek owner very excited, everybody watching, lorries going back on ship, ship moving out again to the mole, anchoring and then - quiet.
